Set your default Zoom meeting settings to only hosts can share their screens

Updated on

One of the most common methods for Zoombombings is for unwanted participants to share inappropriate images through the Zoom Screen Share feature. You can set your meeting defaults so that only the host can share their screen.

1. Go to your TC Zoom account by logging in at myTC.columbia.edu with your UNI and password.

2. Click on the Faculty, Student, or Employee Resources tab and under General Technology Resources, click on TC Zoom.

3. In your Zoom account, click on Settings on the left.

4. Make sure you are in the Meeting tab.

5. Scroll down to the Screen sharing options. In the Who can share section, check Host Only. Click Save.

These settings will be applied to all of your meetings going forward.
