These instructions guide you through launching a poll that was created before a Zoom meeting begins.
NOTE: The person who creates the Zoom meeting is the only one who can create polls before a Zoom meeting begins. The person who creates the Zoom meeting and the polls is the only person who can launch the poll during the Zoom session.
1. In your Zoom meeting, click Polls/quizzes.
If you do not see Polls/quizzes in your navigation bar, click More. Then in the pop-up menu, click Polls/quizzes.
2. The polls that you created prior to the meeting will appear in Polls/quizzes.
3. Hover over the poll you want to launch. Then, when the Launch button appears, click Launch.
4. To launch using a QR code, click Get QR code.
5. The poll's QR code will appear in a new internet browser window.
6. Share your screen Zoom so participants can use their phone camera to scan the QR code.
6.1. Select the window with the QR code, then click Share.
7. Once the QR code is scanned, participants will have the poll open in their mobile browser for their use.
Participants should use the same email they provided when they registered to the Zoom meeting for the poll.
8. As participants submit their vote, the results will appear on your screen along with the time passed and total responses. When you are finished with the poll, click End Poll.
The total responses includes meeting participants and participants who submitted the poll using a QR code link.
9. (Optional) Once the poll ends, you can choose to share your results with the rest of your attendees. If you choose to share the results, click Share Results.
9.1. Once you are finished sharing results, click Stop Sharing.
10. (Optional) To re-launch the poll, download results, or view results from browser, click the three dots next to the Share results button. Then, select whichever option you desire.
Relaunching a poll will clear existing poll results.
11. To exit the poll, click on < Back in the top-left corner.
12. You can see all polls that have ended by the indicator message "Ended" underneath the poll title.
