Zoom can use artificial intelligence (AI) to create meeting summaries that can be viewed by just the meeting host or sent to all meeting participants. Your Zoom meeting Settings need to be set BEFORE the meeting begins for the summaries to be generated.
Meeting hosts should always review and edit meeting summaries before distributing meeting summaries. AI tools, including Zoom's, are not always accurate and require human review.
1. Log into the TC Portal
Students: https://student.tc.columbia.edu

3. From the left menu, select Settings

5. In the section Allow users to ask AI Companion questions about the meeting, set the button to on (it should be blue).

6. Scroll down to the section Meeting summary with AI Companion, and set the button to on (it should be blue).

7. Set Automatically share summary with: Only me (meeting host).

8. When the meeting has ended and the AI Summaries have been processed, the meeting host will receive an email with the summary.

9. Scroll to the bottom of the email and click Edit to change any of the summary content.
