1. Log into the myTC portal.
Students: https://student.tc.columbia.edu
Employee: https://employee.tc.columbia.edu
2. In the applications Tab, click Canvas.
3. Click Dashboard in the Global Navigation Menu.
4. Click a course card to access that course.
1. Click Settings in the Course Navigation Menu.
2. Click the Course Details tab, and click Choose Image.
3. You can either upload your own image or select an image from the Unsplash catalog of free images.
3.1. To upload your own image, click the Upload Image box to browse your computer and locate an image.
You can also drag and drop the image into the box.
3.2. To select an image from the Unsplash catalog, click the Unsplash tab [1]. Enter a search term in the Search field [2]. When you've found an image you would like to use, click the image [3].
Search results display all related images and may include more than one page.
4. A preview of your course card will be shown.
5. If the preview shows the image the way you want it, click Update Course Details at the bottom of the page.
6. You and your students will now see the image on the course card on the Dashboard.
