All Canvas courses have a start date which is two weeks before TC's official first day of class. If you would like to communicate with students through Canvas and allow students to participate in the course before that date, you'll need to change the course start date in your Canvas course and publish your course.
1. Log into your course in Canvas.
2. Click on Settings in the course menu
3. In the Course Details tab, locate the Start field, enter the date you would like your course to be available to students.
4. Scroll down and click Update Course Details.
