You can allow students to attach files to a discussion by editing discussion settings.
1. Log into the TC portal.
2. In the applications Tab, click Canvas.
3. Click Dashboard in the Global Navigation Menu.
4. Click a course card to access that course.
1. Click Discussions in the Course Navigation Menu.
2. Click the Settings icon.
3. A pop-up will appear. Check the Attach files to discussions checkbox [1], and click Save Settings [2].
