Replace the cover image in the Home Page welcome presentation with the Canvas Template

The Canvas Home Page template automatically includes a cover image.

1. Pick out the image you want to include on your course Home Page.

Here are some useful image banks to use:

2. Download the image onto your desktop and rename it Slide1.jpg

2. Once you have the image you would like to use downloaded, return to your course and select Files on the left-hand navigation bar.

3. Select the folder titled Folder with Home Page Images.

The folders may be under a different title depending on how you customized your course. If you have problems locating this folder, submit a ticket to DFI.

4. Click Upload and upload your new image.

5. A menu will pop up asking if you would like to replace the existing file. Select Replace.

6. To confirm your new image is visible, click on Home.
