With TC Digital Media (TC DM), you can create a Playback quiz that is a graded assignment that give points to students based on how much of the video they watch.
You'll need to first upload a video to TC DM before adding quiz questions.
1. Once inside TC DM, hover your mouse over video that you want to create a quiz for.
2. Click More...
3. Click Quizzes.
4. Click Create Playback Quiz.
If you embedded a link from YouTube, Vimeo or other web link, you'll only see the option to Create Video Quiz. You cannot only create a Playback Quiz for videos you've uploaded.
If you want to create a video quiz with quiz-typed questions (e.g., True/False, Multiple Choice), you should Create a Video Quiz in TC Digital Media.
5. Name the quiz.
6. Choose from the two options to create your playback quiz.
- Give full credit based on threshold: Set a minimum percentage of the video that you would like your students to watch for them to receive full credit for the quiz.
- Give credit based on percentage watched: Quiz is graded based on the percentage of the video watched by the student.
7. Click Create.
8. The quiz should now be created. Click Manage.
9. Choose the open and close dates for the quiz. Check the boxes to select classes that you want to post the quiz to.
10. Click Update.
11. Click Close.
12. The quiz will be linked to your TC Digital Media in Canvas.
