If you are having difficulty captioning your YouTube video please reach out to DFI and we will assist you!
1. In your Canvas course click TC Digital Media in your course navigation.

2. Click Manage Media

3. Click Upload

4. In your Upload pop-out window click Link and select YouTube from the drop-down menu.

5. Paste in your YouTube video link [1], add in the name of the Video [2], and select the Import from YouTube option [3], confirm that this video is being dowloaded for educational purposes [4]. Select Start Upload [5].

6. Your video will begin to process in your My Media account. The video will not be ready for Human captioning until you receive an email confirmation that the import is complete.
Videos can still be added to your Canvas course even if the video is still processing.

7. Once you have received your upload confirmation click TC Digital Media in your Course navigation and click Manage Media, and locate your newly uploaded YouTube video.
All videos uploaded to TC Digital Media are automatically auto captioned. If you need to request Human captions you will need to override the auto captions.

8. Float your mouse over the video and click More.

9. Click Accessibility in the side menu.

10. You will see the auto captions in your video. To request Human captioning click the Human Caption button.

11. You will be asked to override the current caption files, click Yes.

12. Click Send Request to request your Human captioning.
