1. In your Canvas course navigation menu, click Assignments.
2. In the top right corner, click + Assignment.
3. Enter a title in the Assignment Name field [1]. Then, enter the instructions in the Rich Content Editor [2].
4. Enter a value in the Points field [1]. Use the Submission Type dropdown menu to Select Online [2]. Click the checkbox next to Text Entry [3] and complete the rest of the assignment details.
5. To save your work and preview the assignment, scroll down and click Save.
6. When you are ready to publish the assignment, click Publish.
