Update the Identity Certificate on BYOD Devices (Android OS)
Updated on
You may receive an email from [email protected] alerting you that your network access is about to expire. This is in relation to the ClearPass identity certificate expiring on your BYOD device (personal phone/tablet/laptop) and requires that the certificate be updated. The original identity certificate was valid for 1 year. Once updated, the new identity certificate will be valid for 5 years.
Locate the ClearPass QuickConnect app on your device. If it's not present, you can download and install it from the Google Play Store.
Open the ClearPass QuickConnect app, and select the Columbia Teachers College network to continue.
Login with your Active Directory credentials, check the terms of use box, and click Log In.
Click I have already installed QuickConnect.
Click Install Network Profile.
Click Open to run the network config file.
The app will go through the provisioning process. You do not need to do anything for this step.
Once provisioning is complete, click OK to proceed.
At this point, your device is re-provisioned and your identity certificate has been renewed for 5 years. Feel free to close out of the web page and continue using your wireless connection.
If there are any issues with the re-enrollment process, please contact TCIT's Service Desk at [email protected] or (212) 678-3300.
