Activate Microsoft 365
- Open PowerPoint.
- When the "Sign in to Activate" screen appears, enter your TC email address associated with your Microsoft 365 subscription.
Verify activation by going to the top menu: PowerPoint > About PowerPoint. It should now say "Microsoft 365 subscription".
Check for Updates
To ensure the Cameo feature is visible, you need the latest version.
- Go to Help > Check for Updates.
- Allow Microsoft AutoUpdate to install any pending versions.
If your license is NOT “Microsoft 365 Subscription” troubleshoot through the following steps:
Clear the Old License
- Computers often "stick" to old licenses. You must remove the old license first.
- On Mac:
- Download the Microsoft License Removal Tool. Or follow the steps on How to remove Office license files on a Mac.
- Open the downloaded .pkg file and follow the prompts.
- Note: This removes the old license but does not delete your files or apps.
- On Windows:
- Follow the steps on Uninstall Microsoft 365 or Office from a PC.
- Download PowerPoint again following this screenstep guide.
