Google Jamboard is a collaborative digital whiteboard that allows users to draw, type, create and present ideas synchronously, and can be shared with students during and after class.
1. On the touch display, use Keyboard C to login to myTC Portal.
2. Click Google Drive.
4. Scroll down and Click Jamboard.
5. Click the + icon to create a new Jamboard.
6. Rename your Jamboard.
6.1. Click Untitled Jam.
6.2. Enter a new name for your Jamboard. Click OK to save changes.
Refer to the article View remote students using Zoom Gallery view (Type A Classroom) to set up Touch Display D in the classroom to join your Zoom meeting.
7. In your Zoom meeting, click Share Screen.
9. To Write or Draw on the Jam: On the toolbar, click Draw Pen.
10. Draw on the board with a stylus or your finger.
11. To change pens, double tap on the draw pen.
11.1. You can choose from a marker, highlighter, or brush tool.
11.2. To change colors, under the selected pen, tap a color.
12. To erase drawings
12.1. Tap the eraser button.
12.2. Glide across any parts of the drawings to erase.
13. To add a sticky note
13.2. Tap the colors to change the color of the sticky note.
13.3. Tap Save to post your sticky note on the Jamboard.
14. To add an image
14.1. Tap the image button. A pop-up window will appear.
15. To add a shape
15.1. Tap the circle button.
15.3. To select a different shape, double tap the circle button.
16. (Optional) To share the Jamboard with your students
16.1. Tap Share on top right corner.
16.2. Tap Share with Tc.columbia.edu
16.3. Tap the drop down button, select Editor.
16.4. Tap Copy link. Paste the link to your Zoom class meeting.
16.5. Tap Done to save changes and close the pop-up window.
Jamboard sessions will automatically save to your Google Drive.
