Using the Confusion Report in Perusall

The confusion report uses the Perusall algorithm to identify the top 3–4 topics of confusion or engagement, and the best student annotations in an assignment.  A Confusion Report may not be generated if there are a small number of students participating.

2. To access the Confusion Report, go to the assignments tab, select an assignment and click on "Confusion report."

3. A new window will pop up. On the left, you will see: 1) topics identified as most relevant, 2) keywords for each topic and 3) their respective passages from the assignment.

4. On the right you will see highlights of the highest graded students annotations.

5. You can print the confusion report by clicking Print on bottom right corner of the page. It will be printed in one easy-to-digest page.
