Teachers College leverages Okta, a single sign-on (SSO) authentication method that enables our users to securely log in to multiple TC applications and services.
1. Welcome to Okta!
To activate and set up your TC (Okta) account, click on the Activate Okta Account button within the Teachers College Welcome to Okta! email
This link will expire within 30 days so please activate the account upon receiving the email. If you have not received your Welcome to Okta email, please contact the TCIT Service Desk at [email protected]
2. Set up security methods
Under Password, click the Set up button.
Pay attention to the important messages!
3. Set up password
Enter and re-enter a new password. Be sure to meet the password requirements above. Then, click Next
4. Verify it's you with a security method
Follow the prompts to set up the chosen multi-factor authentication (MFA) security method:
- Duo: Follow the prompts to complete Duo Mobile authentication (Recommended)
- Phone: Proceed with phone instructions
5. TC Sign in
After setting up the security method(s), the TC login screen will appear. Enter your TC UNI and the TC (Okta) password you set up in Step 3.
6. You will be directed to the TC home page

From the TC homepage you can select which portal to access by selecting TC Portal
