Navigating the New Student Portal

1. To access the new student portal visit: [email protected]

2. At the top right of the page, you'll find a global search bar to help you locate information and resources.

3. In the top left of the page the Teachers College logo will take you to the TC Website.

3.1. Students who are also employees will have access to both portals

4. Selecting the "Student Information" button, allows you to view your profile account settings.

(Enter an image of the student information - I currently don't have access)

5. In the Student Information section of the portal, you can access your Banner Self-Service page, course information, Bursar information, class registration, and financial aid details.

6. You can bookmark up to seven frequently used applications, ensuring they appear  on your home page each time you log in.

7. To find additional applications not displayed on the homepage, select "More Applications

8. You will now see both your favorite applications and additional ones you have access to on the same page.

9. Similar to the Applications page, the Resources Home Page allows you to select up to seven resources as favorites, which will appear on the home page each time you log in to the portal.

10. To add or change your favorite resources, or to view additional ones, select the "Customize/Add to My Resources" button.

11. Next select the resources you frequently use.

12. Knowledge articles are an extensive resource designed to assist students with a wide range of academic and administrative tasks. These articles cover topics such as course registration, financial aid, campus resources, and technical support, providing step-by-step guides and troubleshooting tips.

12.1. You can enhance your understanding of a topic or application with comprehensive Knowledge Articles.

13. To search for articles in the knowledge base, enter key words or phrases pertaining to the topic of interest.

14. All the articles pertaining to that topic will appear.

16. Your search results will be displayed in the "Knowledge Article Results" section of the page.

17. The Case Management system streamlines support requests and form submissions to Financial Aid, and Enrollment Services. Case Management is your resource for non-technical issues you experience with enrollment and financial services.

17.1. Case Management keeps track of your active and closed cases.

18. To open a new case select the "New Case" button.

19. Fill out the new case form and select "Next".

20. At the bottom of the homepage, you can find direct contact information for departmental resources.
