View remote students on a separate screen using an HDMI cable (Type C Classroom)

If you bring your own HDMI cable, follow these instructions to connect your personal computer to the projector screen or touch display in the classroom. If you need to borrow an HDMI cable, visit TC Media Services at HM 149.

1. Join your Zoom class meeting using your personal computer.

Refer to the article Join a Zoom meeting from your personal computer for more instructions.

3. If presentation is displayed, click View Options. Select Side-by-side Mode.

4. Insert the HDMI cable into the HDMI 2 input behind the confidence monitor.

5. Insert the other end of the HDMI cable into your personal computer.

6. Use the remote control to select HDMI 2 as the input.

6.1. Press Input.

6.2. Press the DOWN button to select HDMI 2.

7. Hover your pointer/mouse over the divider between the shared screen and participants' videos, click and drag the line to the left to see your remote students in a larger view.

When you share your presentation using the main computer, you can also view your remote students separately on the confidence monitor.
