Connecting To TC-Secure: Personal, Non-TC Device (Mac)

1. Click on the Wifi icon on the Mac Menu Bar and select TC-Secure from the list.

2. You'll be prompted for authentication credentials. Please enter your Active Directory username and password and click Join (This is the same username and password you use to login to your TC-owned desktop).

 

You may receive an additional login prompt on the next screen. If so, please re-enter your Active Directory credentials and click OK.

3. If you're asked to verify the HCR-CPPM-Pub certificate, click Continue.

4. Enter the username and password for your Mac in order to update the Certificate Trust Settings on your machine.

5. At this point, the ClearPass Onboarding Portal will pop up on your desktop. You'll need to finish the onboarding process through the Safari web browser. Please click Cancel in the bottom-right.

6. Open Safari, and navigate to www.yahoo.com. You'll be redirected automatically to the ClearPass Onboarding Portal.

7. Enter your Active Directory username and password the same username and password you use to login to your TC-owned desktop), check the terms of use box, and click Log In.

8. On the next screen, click Install Certificate to continue.

9. The certificate will download directly to the Downloads folder. Please double-click the mdps_profile.php.cer file to open the import tool.

10. Click Add to import the certificate.

11.  On the next screen, click Install Profile to continue.

12. Click Continue.

13. Click Install

14. Click Continue

15. Click Install

16. Click Install

17. Enter the username and password for your Mac computer.

18. Your device has been successfully provisioned and is ready to join TC-Secure.

You can confirm your device is connected to TC-Secure by checking the wireless drop down list on the Mac Menu Bar.

If you are unable to connect and a screen pops up saying Your device is already provisioned, you can run through the onboarding process again by clicking on the reprovision your device here link.

19. The final piece of the process is to place the TC-Secure network as the top priority in the Mac's wireless network list. Navigate to System Preferences--->Network.

20. Again, click on the Wi-Fi tab, then click Advanced.

21. From the list of networks, select TC-Secure, hold the click down and drag TC-Secure above TC.

22. Click OK

You can confirm your device is connected to TC-Secure by checking the wireless drop down list on the Mac Menu Bar.

 You can view/manage your BYOD devices in the ClearPass Self-Service Portal. There is a link under the Welcome Tab--->TC Bookmarks section of myTC.
