Zoom Live Transcript provides the ability to show in-session transcriptions of all spoken content, based on the session audio. Teachers College promotes captioning as a best practice that benefits all individuals.
Only the host of a Zoom meeting can turn on captioning during a meeting. Be aware that the accuracy of live transcription may not be perfect.
1. In the Zoom meeting controls, click Live Transcript.
2. Under Live Transcription, click Enable.
3. In your Zoom meeting your captioning will begin.
4. Attendees will be alerted Live Transcript is available and may choose to display subtitles, view full transcript and adjust settings.
5. To hide the auto captioning, click the arrow next to Live Transcript.
5.1. Select Hide Subtitle.
6. To stop the auto captioning, click Live Transcript.
6.1. Under Live Transcription, click Disable.
