Creating a VoiceThread

1. On your VoiceThread homepage click “Create” on the top toolbar.

2. Click "add media" and choose the type of file you would like to upload. You can add PPT, videos and images.

3. Add a Powerpoint, Video, or Image file from your computer:

3.1. Click "My Computer"

3.2. Search for the file you would like to add and click "open"

3.3. Write a title and click save

3.4. Your file will be loaded and you will be able to see a preview for each slide or image uploaded.

If uploading a video file you will see a preview of your video.

3.5. You can add an audio recording to your file by clicking "Add media" at the top of the page and then selecting "Audio recording"

4. Add an Audio or video Recording:

4.1. Click "Audio Recording" if you want to record an audio or "Webcam video" if you want to record a video.

4.2. A countdown will begin. After the countdown is complete, begin recording.

4.3. When you are ready, click the red flashing light at the bottom of the screen to stop recording.

4.4. The comment will begin uploading and then playing. Click “Save” to save it or “Cancel” to discard the comment and try again. If you were not done recording and want to continue the same comment, click “Record More” on the far right.

4.5. Write a title and click save

4.6. Your file will be loaded and you will be able to see a preview of your (1) audio and/or (2) video recording.

4.7. You can add photos, PPT, or any other video to complement your audio/video recording by pressing the + sign and repeating the previous steps.
