Create a page in Canvas

Find your Canvas course

1. Log into the myTC portal.

2. Click the Canvas icon in the top-right corner.

3. Click Dashboard in the Global Navigation Menu.

4. Click a course card to access that course.

1. Click Pages in the Course Navigation Menu.

2. Click Pages at the top of the webpage.

3. Click the Add Page button.

4. Enter a title in the Title field, and add content in the Rich Content Editor.

5. To edit page settings:

5.1. You can decide who can edit the page by selecting the Users allowed to edit this page drop-down menu.

The Anyone option only applies to users who are enrolled in the course.

5.2. You can add the page to the student to-do list by selecting the Add to student to-do checkbox.

When you add a page to the student to-do, the to-do displays in the student's to-do list as well as the in the course calendar and students' course sidebar To Do list.

5.3. You can also notify users that content has changed by selecting the Notify users that this content has changed checkbox.

6. To create a draft of your page, click Save.

If you are ready to publish your page, click Save & Publish.

7. When your page is saved in a draft state, you can return to the page and publish it at any time by clicking the Publish button.

The button will change from gray to green.
