Embed a Padlet in Canvas

Updated on

If instructors are requiring students to use the Padlet as part of a course, student posts are FERPA data and cannot be Public. Share  the Padlet with individual students or add a password to the Padlet before embedding it in Canvas. You can also create a Canvas assignment using Padlet LTI. Students should be advised not to share the Padlet with anyone outside of the course.

1. Go to your Padlet. Click the share button on the top right.

2. The settings bar will appear on the right. Click Embed in your blog or your website.

3. Once you see the embed code, click COPY.

4. Edit the Canvas page where you want to embed the Padlet. Click View and select HTML editor.

5. Paste the code you have copied to your clipboard in the HTML editor. Click Save or Save & Publish.

6. Your Padlet should now be embedded in your Canvas course. Students can click the plus (+) button and start adding to the Padlet.
