Add a file to a module in Canvas

Find your Canvas course

1. Log into the myTC portal.

2. Click the Canvas icon in the top-right corner.

3. Click Dashboard in the Global Navigation Menu.

4. Click a course card to access that course.

1. Click Modules in the Course Navigation Menu.

2. Click the Add Item icon for the module that you would like to add a file to.

3. A pop-up will appear. Click the Add drop-down menu.

4. Select File.

5. To add a new file:

5.1. Click New File(s).

5.2. Click the Choose Files button.

5.3. Select the file from your computer [1], and click Open [2].

5.4. Click Add Item.

6. To add an existing file:

6.1. Click the name of the file.

6.2. Click Add Item.

7. The added file will appear at the bottom of the list of items in the module.
